Harrison McEldowney has choreographed and directed all over the world in countries such as Japan, China, Singapore, Germany, Argentina, Spain, Great Britain, and Germany to name a few. He is an acclaimed and awarded choreographer and director including the After Dark, Ruth Page, and Choo-San Goh Awards along with being listed several times as one of the director/ choreographers to watch by the Chicago Tribune. He has created original works for special occasions such as the 97th Birthday Celebration of noted international dance historian, film archivist, and Dance Magazine (at the time American Dancer Magazine) critic/ editor Ann Barzel (the only choreographer of the evening bestowed with the honor of creating an original work), the finale for the 10 year Anniversary of Dance Chicago, and an original work to open the 10th Anniversary of Dance for Life, a performance of renowned Chicago Dance companies in the fight against AIDS. He has since created 6 original works for Dance for Life featuring dancers from all across the Chicago dance community and collaborating with aerial-dance phenom Jeremy Plummer and C5.
Jessica Beth Redish
Jessica Beth Redish is a Helen Hayes Award-winning and Joseph Jefferson Award Nominated choreographer, director, playwright, and musical theater artist residing in New York City. She was the founding Artistic Director of The Music Theatre Company outside Chicago, where she commissioned and choreographed Pretty Persephone, a new short musical by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. In addition to her numerable theater credits including Off-Broadway, many Chicago-area theatres, Studio Theatre in Washington D.C., and Ravinia Festival, Jessica is an accomplished choreographer and director for music videos and national television. Katie Spelman is a New York based choreographer. Sherry Zunker is an established director, choreographer, and master teacher whose work covers the concert dance realm, musical theater, corporate entertainment, production shows, television, video and film. From 2011 to 2014 Sherry directed “Chicago the Musical” for Royal Caribbean’s Broadway venture. She has also worked as a creator, director and choreographer on over 40 productions for The Cruise Ship Industry. Zunker is Co-Artistic Director Emerita of River North Chicago Dance Company. From 1990 – 2001 Sherry was Artistic Director of River North Dance Chicago (RNDC). As Artistic Director she choreographed numerous works for the company, one of them being the signature piece "Reality of a Dreamer," which also became the finale piece for the award-winning televised documentary of the same name. Sherry also commissioned the work of many choreographers to compile the company’s diverse, engaging repertoire. Zunker also created River North Chicago’s dance education program for inner city schools entitled “Street Beat”. This program exposed how trends in American culture affect the ever-changing face of American jazz dance. In addition to the works she created for River North Sherry has choreographed and set her dance pieces on many dance companies including the Joffrey Ballet and Giordano Dance Chicago, and most recently on Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre. Sherry is also the founder of BeMoved®, a company passionate about sharing the joy of dance with people of all movement abilities. Her belief that movement expressed through dance and music has a transformative power that enriches lives inspired her to create BeMoved. Currently BeMoved has trained over 100 instructors serving communities in 13 states as well as provinces in Canada. In addition to BeMoved, Sherry’s teaching career spans over 40 years. She has taught for many universities, dance companies, festivals, intensive workshops and predominant dance institutions. Before taking on the roles of director and choreographer, Zunker had a diverse performance career. She danced with Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble, was a principal dancer with Giordano Dance Chicago, performed as a soloist in “Bob Fosse’s Dancing',” and also danced under choreographer’s Ann Reinking and Chet Walker in the Goodman Theatre’s production of “Pal Joey.” Zunker has also danced in many musical stage productions, commercials and films including “The Blues Brothers” and “A League of Their Own”.
